Mrs. Edward Grant entertained on Thursday afternoon with a beautiful seven-hand euchre in compliment to her sister, Mrs. Dudley Miller, who is here from throughout the drawing rooms, Shenandoah, Ia. Scattered where Mrs. Grant and Mrs. Miller received the guests, were vases of pretty fall flowers. At the conclusion of the games pretty trophies were awarded to Mrs. Daniel Hemingray, Mrs. Francis Queen Wilshire, Mrs. Graddy Kennedy, and miss Marriet Collins. Miss Eleanor Grant and Mrs. James Greer assisted the hostess in extending courtesies. Among the guests were: Mesdames William Perkins, D. Linn Gooch, Grattan Noland, Edward Ebbert, Charles Clark Chase, Clifford Miller, Frank Cross, Shelly Rouse, Dwight Ryther, Arthur Hubbard, Frederick Marcon, William Eaton, Dick Hupple, Robert Kroger, Claude Black, William Dohvmann, Will Corry, Henry Burbage, Rankin Revil, Verner Ewan, John Simrall, Stow Reno, George Fox, Hugh Colville, Misses Katherine Hamilton, Elizabeth Marshall, Helen and Drue Underwood, Mary Queen, and Elizabeth Westfall. · · |
