Millville Factories Close Wednesday.

Millville, N. J., July 30. - The eye fell out of the pot furnace at the T. C. Wheaton Co.'s plant, Saturday night, necessitating the cessation of operations in that factory at once. The amber and flint tanks will continue until Wednesday, July 31.

Factories Nos. 1, 2, 5 and 12 at the South Millville plant of the Whitall Tatum Co. will close down for the summer stop on the same day, and the work of overhauling and rebuilding those factories will commence immediately.

Factories 8, 9, 10 and 11 at the same plant, which have been out for sometime, have been placed in repair or are undergoing repairs now.

It is the intention to have all South Millville factories in readiness to place fire in them August 16, in order that operations may be resumed the day after Labor Day.
