Company - Decisions Made
No decisions growing out of Monroe county litigation were included in the list handed down by the Appellate Division yesterday afternoon. Before the court was the appeal of the Locke Insulator Manufacturing Company, of Victor, from a verdict of $28,000 awarded by a Supreme Court jury before Justice Clark to John S. Lapp, who resided at No. 375 Lake View park.
Lapp, who attended the University of Rochester, was employed by the company as its secretary and general manager. He charges that because he was ill for several months he was discharged. He was employed at a salary of $8,500 a year. He claims he contracted his illness when in the service of the company. He sued to recover $41,911.66. Harlan W. Rippey represented the plaintiff, and Hiram R. Wood the defendant company.
