VICTOR INCORPORATION.

The Locke Insulator Manufacturing Company

Now Capitalized at $100,000.

A stock company has just been organized in Victor under the corporate name of The Locke Insulator Manufacturing Co., for the manufacture of porcelain insulators for power transmission and telephoning and telegraphing purposes. The business along this line has been most successfully carried on for the past four years under the name of The Locke Insulator Works with the inventor, Fred M. Locke, at its head. Under the new regime Mr. Locke will probably continue at its head as president; C. J. Peer, vice-president; Willis D. Newton, secretary and treasurer. The company is capitalized at $100,000, issuing one thousand shares selling at par. The company starts out under the brightest of prospects, and the stock, which is considered as gilt edged, will probably quickly be taken up.

The business is a prosperous one. Beginning four years ago on a very limited scale it rapidly grew until now it employs about seventy-five men, and its goods are being shipped to nearly every country on the globe. The old plant was destroyed by fire last January, but new buildings were at once erected which now cover nearly one acre of land. The industry means much to the business interests of Victor, and it is thought that the new organization will greatly add to its prosperity.
