MRS. W.G. LOCKE DIES SUDDENLY
Mrs. Lovisa, widow of the late Capt. William G. Locke, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday last at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. F.E. Peake of Rochester'. The deceased had been in unusually good health of late and her death was unlooked for and a severe shock to the family. She had arisen and was dressing herself, but as she did not appear as promptly as usual, a member of the family proceeded to her room and was startled to find her prostrate form upon the bed where she had fallen and expired. Mrs. Locke was in her 83rd year. The deceased was born in Cazenovia, NY, removing to Honeoye Falls with her parents at an early day. Nearly all her life was passed in the village, until her removal to Rochester a few years since to make it her home with her daughter, who is the only surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of St. John's church of this place and always manifested a zealous interest in the prosperity of the society. Her remains were brought here for burial on Tuesday, the funeral services being held at 2:30 P. M., Rev. H. S. Dennis, officiating. |
