· · The "Republican," of Denver, Colorado, in its issue of Dec. 11, says: "The Valverde glass works, which recently has begun business, promises to occupy a prominent place among the manufacturing industries of Denver. The present company, of which Merrit Gano, Gerald Hughes, John Porter, Frank Ashley, Harry James, G. F. Palmer, and Michael Nestor are directors, takes the place of the company that was disbanded when the glass works were burned down several months ago. The company, as at present organized, intends to supply all the local demand for bottles and small glassware. It is filling orders from breweries and has taken orders from several towns in the state. One hundred and fifty men are employed and its managers hope that the force will be doubled in a short time." |
