IMPROVEMENTS AT CANADIAN PANT TO BE FINISHED SOON. The chief expense in the improvements planned by the Dominion Glass Co., at its plant in Redcliff, Can., states W. A. Hossie, Winnipeg manager for the concern, is the furnace. The output of the plant will be considerably increased. The first work at Redcliff was done by the company seven years ago. This is the first enlargement of the factory since that time. All the work now under way will be completed very soon. The output of the plant at Redcliff included lamp chimneys, lantern globes, prescription bottles, mineral water bottles, fruit jars, etc. The glass produced is clear or amber, the latter being required chiefly for beer bottles. Mr. Hossie reports business as extremely active. Orders are very pressing, but the company hopes to be able to overtake them all shortly. |
