LOSS IN TORONTO, CAN., FIRE

APPROXIMATES ABOUT $150,000.

The recent fire at the warehouse of the Dominion Glass Co., Ltd., Toronto, Can., caused damages amounting in all to $150,000, officials say. Of this about $100,000 is represented by ruined glassware. The building that was burned covered a large area and was at the east end of the factory. It was used for the storage of bottles and jars, and at the time of the fire there were many thousands of these articles in the structure awaiting shipment. Forty men were employed in the warehouse , but Manager Ralph King does not anticipate any loss of work for them, since the company has other warehouses there. About 400 men are employed by the company. The fire will not prevent the operation of the factory. Mr. King stated that the company would rebuild as soon as the ruins are cleared away.
