GLASS WORKERS.

Their Annual Convention Opened at

Muncie, Ind., Yesterday.

MUNCIE, Ind., July 10. — At ten o'clock to-day the international convention of Flint Glassworkers formally opened with about 200 delegates and several hundred other glass men present. This afternoon at one o'clock a parade moved through the principal streets. Immediately after the parade an outdoor gathering assembled in Heekin Park where there were addresses by Mayor Tuohy and others.

The question of amalgamating all branches of the organized glass trade will be one of the principal things considered by the convention, and it is probable the amalgamation will be effected. The question of demanding an increase of wages will also be considered.
