The Green Bottle Man.
Massillon, O., Jan. 24. — On Saturday evening, January 21 President Arrington organized a local at Ravenna, Ohio. The furnaces at that place is run with oil and is a complete success. They are making splendid glass and the blowers are doing well, all working on fruit jars. . . . The Ball Brothers, of Buffalo, N. Y., have built an 8-pot furnace at Muncie, Grant Co., Ind., and will blow about February 1. They will make oil cans and fruit jars. The men will work under the jurisdiction of D. A. 143. . . . The Hemingray Glass Company are building a factory at Muncie and expect to blow by April 15. They will move their entire business to Muncie next season. . . . The Salt Lake City factory that has been idle since last June is getting ready to start. It is a 4-pot furnace. . . . Business throughout the district is in a good condition. The trade in the West is better at this time than it has been for six years and the outlook for the future is very encouraging if there is no reduction in the tariff.
