Glass Notes From Muncie.
MUNCIE, IND., Aug. 3. — Hemingrays are repairing their furnaces and making various improvements in the factory preparatory to next season's business. E. B. Ball, one of the proprietors of the Ball Bros." glass works, has left for a trip to Europe. He will be absent about six weeks. At Maring, Hart & Co.'s glass works a force of men are engaged in repairing the furnaces and getting the plant in shape for next season's business. At the Muncie, Port, and Over glass factories they are getting the plants and shops in shape for next season's work, and in some of them the capacity is being increased, and next season promises a larger business in the glass factories than during any previous year since the location of the factories in the city. Ball Bros. are putting up two new factory buildings in addition to their extensive glass plant. They are building an addition to the blowers' department that will be almost as large as the original building, and a new building for their presses. |
