Change Unlikely At Victor I-T-E
VICTOR — A merger of I-T-E Imperial Inc. and Gould Inc. is not expected to cause any changes at I-T-E Imperial Inc. Victor insulator plant. William O'Brien, personnel director for the Victor plant, told The Daily Messenger today that he doesn't expect any changes at the plant. The two corporations reached an agreement Friday which will make I-T-E a working subsidiary of Gould. Gould, headquarted in Rolling Meadows, Ill., manufactures batteries and other electrical and industrial products. The corporation currently has annual sales of totally more than $770 million. I-T-E, with headquarters in Spring House, Pa., manufactures equipment for transmission and control of electric power power and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Sales for the corporation totalled $495 million in 1971. Gould has been seeking to acquire I-T-E since October of 1974. The agreement will not be finalized until shareholders vote on it in April. |
