WASHINGTON, April 4, 1878.

Judge Hemingray left here last Sunday night, the 31st ult., for home via Louisville, where he expected to tarry for some days. While here the Judge rendered important services to the cause of right in Utah, especially by making known to Congress and other public and prominent men the real situation of affairs in your Territory.

Mr. Baskin and General Maxwell remain to look after matters of importance to Utah.
