Pioneer Picnic.

The Fourth promises so much of enjoyment, patriotism, and temperance at Canton Grove that a very large crowd was present, and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves as they intended to on our national holiday. The Declaration of Independence was read by General John W. Finnell, and owning to the illness of the orator of the day, Hon. Cassius M. Clay, an address was finely delivered by Rev. W. H. Felix, pastor of the Fourth Street Baptist Church, this city, and well received by all who were so fortunate as to hear it.
