AT THE SYDENHAM GLASS CO.'S WORKS.

Many orders have been received this season at the Sydenham Glass Co., Wallaceburg, Ont., and Secretary T. B. Dundas is of the opinion that they will be busy until the end of the season. John E. Gordon is now manager at this plant.

Twelve chimney shops and one paste mold shop is the capacity in the pot factory of this company, where a few off-hand chimney shops have to lose a week out of every five, which is the case in most chimney concerns at this time where a division of time is in vogue.

Mr. Dundas realizes the prevalence of low prices and the keen competition of cheap German and English glassware is also a significant factor to be reckoned with by the Ontario glass manufacturing concern. This is especially true with references to England on account of the preferential tariff which exists in favor of that country.
