Personal.

Today's cake sale at Mrs. H. C. Bruce's, given by the Ladies Aid Society of the First Baptist Church, was a success. The cakes were sold at a lively rate, and long before the afternoon was over all were disposed of and they were crying for more. The ladies of the Baptist Church are celebrated for their good cakes, and the display offered today certainly verified their reputation. Among those who will have Baptist cakes for Thanksgiving dinner are Mrs. Frank P. Helm, Mrs. Bradford Shinkle, Mrs. F. A. Laidley, Mrs. Amelia Ernst Semple, Mrs. W. Martin, Mrs. Walthall, Mrs. Reakert, Mrs. C. Roudebush, Mrs. J. M. Kirtley, Mrs. H. C. Bruce, Mrs. Charles Scott, Mrs. Thomas Porter, Mrs. Schivers, Mrs. R. Hemingray, Mrs. Eaton, Miss Bright, Miss Hunt, and Mrs. . . . [illegible text] . . ..
