Greenwood China Company building destroyed by fire

FIRE FOR GREENWOOD CHINA.

 

A two-story building containing forty tons of packing straw, belonging to the Greenwood China Company, on North Clinton avenue, was destroyed Thursday night by fire. The loss will be about $300 and is covered by insurance. An alarm was turned in by James Bechanthall, a watchman at the pottery. Chief Allen, Assistant Chief Bennett, engines 4 and 6 and truck 1 responded.
