Personals. · · The nuptials of Mr. Robert J. Kroger and Lucy Ritchey Orr will take place this evening at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. James P. Orr. The wedding will be small, only the members of the two families and a few very intimate friends are bidden. Miss Orr is a noble woman and is distinguished for the beauties of her mind and heart as well as for the charms of her person, and it is her desire that the wedding should be as unostentatious as possible. Her wishes will be obeyed. With the exception of a few palms, there will be no floral decorations, and here and there a large bunch of snow-white chrysanthemums and bunches of marmet and bridal roses, the gifts from devoted friends. Rev. Dr. J. P. Jones, of the First Baptist Church, will officiate,. Using the beautiful Episcopal ceremony. The bride's gown is white organdie trimmed in white satin ribbon. The bodice is adorned with a Marie Antoinette bertha. She will carry a large bunch of white chrysanthemums. The guests will be Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Kroger, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gale and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Picton, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Kearns, Governor and Mrs. J. C. Underwood, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Nat P. Wilshire, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Redway, Mr. and Mrs. Benny, Mrs. Rebecca Kearns Worthington, Miss May Queen, Miss Margaret Kirtley, Miss Mattie Lee Mannen, Misses Underwood, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Phillips, Mrs. Clemmie Roberts, Miss Camilla Shinkle, Mr. James Hatton, Mr. Jesse Roberts, Mr. Walker Hall, of Cincinnati; Mr. Martin, Mr. Isabel, Mr. Jerry Kirtley, Mr. Al Ernst, and Mr. George Walker. After congratulations and partaking of a delicious wedding supper, prepared by Mr. John Lehman, the bride and groom will leave for an extended Eastern tour and on their return will spend some time at the Burnet House, but expect to make their permanent home in Covington. |
