Personals.

Dr. Guthrie met with his class this morning at Mrs. Bradford Shinkle's, and gave his first talk on "The Elizabethian Age." If the morning talk is a criterion of the other lectures the ladies have a most charming literary treat in store this winter. Dr. Guthrie is a very ready speaker, and his lectures are delivered in an off-hand manner, and any one that is inclined to express their views are free to do so. About 30 members compose the class, but the ladies who organized it are anxious to enlarge the number to 50. For the present they will meet with Mrs. Bradford Shinkle every Monday morning at 10 o'clock.
