East Liverpool. — Some 60 girls employed by the General Electric Porcelain Co. won their strike to be furnished ice drinking water in the summer and to be allowed to talk while working at their benches. The victorious girls also won an increase in wages. They have been getting $1, $1.15 and $1.25 per day. They asked for a scale from $1.15 to $1.35 which, with certain conditions not made public, was agreed to. The girls are reticent about the wage settlement, while the owners refuse absolutely to make its terms public.
