THOMPSON BUYS

BRIAN POTTERY

Leroy C. Thompson, real estate broker, yesterday bought the Brian Pottery at the sale conducted by Sheriff William L. Wilbur to satisfy a mortgage debt of $40,000 against the place held by the Trenton Trust and Safe Deposit Company. The price paid by Thompson was $25,500.

Mr. Thompson says that he intends to run the plant. He will begin operations about March 1, and will re-employ the majority of the old force. The pottery was closed about two months ago.

The Brian pottery is situated in Hamilton Township, near the Interstate Fair grounds. The grounds cover nearly two acres, and contain ten kilns and a two-story building. All the machinery and other personal property were included in the sale. The pottery is a sanitary ware establishment.
