Arrangements for the greatest convention ever held by the American Flint Glass Workers' Union, to take place in Bellaire, O., beginning June 30, are near completion. The meet will last for about two weeks. While a great deal of business is to be transacted there will be time for entertainment. The committees with this in charge have been working for months and have laid plans for a gigantic feast of fun. Many serious matters will come before the meeting, such as wage advances, shorter hours, revision of time and the like.

On Tuesday evening, July 8, the high spot in the entertainment features will be staged. Then the Gazam conclave will be held and a rousing time is assured. The Gazams will be led in their deviltry by Henry W. Gauding, of Pittsburgh. Several candidates will be put through their paces and a public drill will be staged in the streets. The Gazam team consists of about 50 men, but in the public affair thousands will take part. All indications point to a record breaking attendance.

Will Welcome Delegates.

William Roy has been secured to welcome the delegates to the city in behalf of organized labor, and responses will be made by the flint workers' officials. The general committee consists of David H. After the convention adjourns the workers' officials will leave for Atlantic City where the annual meeting of the National Association of Manufacturers of Pressed & Blown Glassware will be held in the Marlborough-. . . [illegible text] . . ., Monday, July 21. On the following Wednesday, July 23, the joint conference between workers and manufacturers will begin, and will continue for ten days or two weeks.
