NEW TANK TO BE BUILT BY WHITALL TATUM CO. The Whitall Tatum company will build a new tank in the South Millville plant, according to reports from Millville. Work of construction will be commenced just as soon as factories Nos. 3 and 4 are razed. This work is now in progress. The two factories have not been in operation for ten years or more. They are used or have been used of late years as storehouses, but an addition to the batch house will provide room for this purpose. It is proposed to bring all that remains of the Whitall Tatum company's Stroudsburg, Pa., plant to South Millville. Archer Brothers, of Bridgeton, have been employed to dismantle the tank and the available materials will be used in the construction of the new tank. Whitall Tatum have not operated the Stroudsburg plant for two years. At present all factories at Whitall Tatum company's South Millville works, with one exception, are in operation. One factory is always kept in reserve. |
