BIDS FO THE BRIAN POTTERY

 

Bids for the new Brian Pottery will be received tomorrow at the temporary office of the company 350 Hamilton avenue. Plans and specifications have been completed by Abram Swan, Jr.   They call for an L shape building. The manufacturing department will be 211 by 50 feet and the warerooms will be 100 by 50 feet. There will be two slip houses for sanitary ware work.

The machinery equipment will be as follows. Three vitreous brick agitators, double oval plunger, double pump glaze mill and pans, double and single lawn white clay mills, clay press with eighty leaves, color tubes, single plunger, single pump, sagger mill, grog mill.

The old boilers will be used for a time but will shortly be replaced by new ones.

The company will install a 50 gallon underwriters' fire pump and will place standard fire plugs throughout the property.
