RECENT DEATHS. Julius Proeger, aged 79, a well known mold maker, died on January 6 in his home, 711 North St. Clair street, Pittsburgh. He was born in Germany and came to this country when a young man. Mr. Proeger was granted a number of patents for blowing bottles by machinery and conducted experiments at Washington, Pa., with the late Robert J. Beatty. These patents were sold to the Owens interests for a large sum. In the neighborhood of $1,000,000 passed in the transaction. He leaves four sons, Julius H. Proeger, of Miami, Fla.; Frederick Proeger, of Greensburg, Pa.; William Proeger, of Toledo, O.; and Walter L. Proeger, of Pittsburgh, and three daughters, Mrs. Richard Benjes, of Baltimore, Md,; Mrs. Charles Ross, of Koppel, Pa.; and Mrs. Godfrey Muffin, of Pittsburgh. · · |
