Insulator Litigation Ended.

Several years ago the Elmer glass factory at Elmer, N.J., commenced turning out insulators with the use of patents granted to Thomas Duffield. Operations had no sooner been commenced then an action was brought against the Elmer concern by the Brookfield Glass Co., of Brooklyn, N.Y., for the infringement of patents, since which time the matter has been constantly in the courts. Recently the Brooklyn people entered into negotiations with the Elmer company with the result that during the past week the Duffield patents were purchased outright by the Brooklyn corporation, the Elmer Glass Co. retiring from business. During the past week the New Jersey factory was disposed of to a local man, and it is stated that a new company will be formed, and that the plant will be converted into a factory for the production of pressed ware, probably electrical goods.
