NEW AMSLER-MORTON RECUPERATORS GIVE GOOD RESULTS TO FACTORIES
Bulletins have been issued by the Amsler-Morton Co., glass house engineers and contractors, of Pittsburgh, describing the arrangement of the new "Amco" recuperators and their application to day tanks and small furnaces as well as to continous tanks. Twelve of the recuperators already have been built or are under contract and those operating are showing very interesting results. The largest recuperator in operation is that applied to a 14 by 18 foot tank at the Carr-Lowrey Glass Co., Baltimore, and the next largest is at the McLaughlin Glass Co., Los Angeles. In a letter to the Amsler-Morton Co., the McLaughlin Glass Co. reports that with the recuperator they are using 50 per cent. less fuel than formerly and production has increased equally as much. The Amsler-Morton Co. has recuperators under contract for the Illinois Glass Co. (3); Vidriera Monterey (2); McKee Glass Co., Victory Glass Co., and others. |
