AMSLER-MORTON COMPANY CONTRACTS


 

The Amsler-Morton Company has closed with the Illinois Glass Company for seven 9x65 ft. AMCO lehrs, two type "C" lehrs to be constructed at Alton, Ill., and five type "B" lehrs to be constructed at the Bridgeton, N.J. plant. The Illinois Glass Company has also contracted to build three AMCO Recuperators for use in connection with their revolving pots, there to be built at their Bridgeton plant.

In addition the Amsler-Morton Company has contracts covering four High Duty tanks, two AMCO Recuperators and two AMCO type "B" lehrs for the Vidriera Monterey, Montero, Mexico. The company also has contracted to build two AMCO Recuperative Tanks in California, one for the Columbia Glass Company and one for the McLaughlin Glass Company.

Further work contracted for by the Amsler-Morton Company includes the following:

One decorating lehr for Zeh Incorporated, Clifton, N.J.

One decorating lehr for the Dunbar Flint Glass Company, Dunbar, W. Va.

Changing of two lehrs to the AMCO type for the Economy Glass Company, Morgantown, W. Va.

Construction of a glass melting tank and one AMCO type "C" lehr for the Decamp Consolidated Glass Casket Company, Muskogee, Okla.

Two AMCO type "C" lehrs for the Vidriera Glass Co., Bogota, Columbia, S.A.

Changing of four lehrs for the Capstan Glass Company, Connellsville, Pa., to the "C" type in order to permit the use of lehr feeders.

The two AMCO "B" type lehrs for the Greensburg Glass Company, Pa., which were contracted for some time ago are about completed and construction of one "C" type lehr for the Corning Glass Works, Corning, N. Y., will be started next week.

The Amsler-Morton Company also reports a large amount of repair business and the equipping of several plants with the AMCO fuel oil systems, including three plants of the Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company at the Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Louisville works.
