Australian Glass Maufacturing and Crown Crystal Glass merge

AUSTRALIAN GLASS MANUFACTURERS' MERGER

An important development in the glass manufacturing industry in Australia will follow the formation of a new organization to be known as Crown Crystal Glass Co., Ltd., which has been established in Sydney, says an Australian paper. The movement marks the completion of preliminary negotiations with a view to amalgamation of interests in Crown Glass, Ltd., with the Australian Glass Manufacturers' Co., which will own a majority of the shares. The nominal capital of the newly created Crown Crystal Glass Co., Ltd., is £200,000 in £1 shares, and the directorate will comprise, initially, E. N. Grimwade, F. J. Smith, A. Stewart, W. J. Smith, and N. C. Barker.
