BRILLIANT GLASS COMPANY CLOSES SUCCESSFUL YEAR The Brilliant Glass Products Corporation, Brilliant, O., made rapid strides forward in the past year. The next few days will bring to a close a very successful year and during the past month additional tanks and equipment have been installed to properly handle the larger volume of business which they have in prospect for the coming season. The factory has operated continuously for the past four years. Among the major improvements is included a five ring continuous tank which has already been completed and is now being heated for the first melt of glass. The new day tanks will be built during the holiday recess and the entire battery of tanks are being equipped with electric pyrometers by the Brown Instrument Co., of Philadelphia. Automatic conveyors to transfer the ware from the presses to the lehr will be installed after the first of the year and also a number of smaller improvements have been made, including room equipped with the latest facilities for acid etching and decorating. A partial list of "Quality Products" manufactured at the present time include railway and automobile lenses of every description, marine glasses and magnifying lenses for flashlights, traffic signal glasses and theatre flood light lenses of heat resisting glass, radio glassware and novelties and two complete lines of bathroom fixtures in opal glass. A new line of bathroom accessories in Hexagon design, including a pressed towel bar has just been introduced to the trade and moulds are now being completed to add an entirely new line of ware to their products in the very near future. A fully equipped mould shop is composed of S. A. Frolking, president; H. E. Craig, secretary and treasurer; W. N. Mathews, general superintendent; W. J. Mathews, designing engineer. Paul O. Ladd, formerly with the Fabrica de Botellas, operated by the Tropical and Tivoli interests has recently become affiliated with the company as night superintendent. |
