The Southern Glass Company closed for repairs December 15th, they also expect to invoice. The complete force will take a two weeks' vacation and after January 1st the plant will start again but not on full capacity.
It is reported the McLaughlin Glass Co. is closed down also, so at present the glass business is a little slow in Los Angeles.
Local Union No. 141 held a social session on the night of December 11th, so that the members and their wives might get better acquainted. After the musical program, a lunch was served and then dancing followed the remainder of the evening.

The members were all well pleased and about seventy attended. We hope some good will result from this gathering and that we will have a better attendance at our regular meetings.
