GLASS MAN ELECTED MAYOR

John M. Gayner, secretary and sales manager of the Gayner Glass Works, Salem, N. J., was elected mayor of Salem at the election November 3. Mr. Gayner who was the Republican party nominee, defeated his Democratic opponent, F. Newlin Action, the present mayor, by a majority of 368 votes.
