Operations were resumed recently at the McBride lamp chimney plant in Salem, W. Va., following a two year period of idleness. The factory is owned and operated by Thomas McBride, who is one of the oldest manufacturers of lamp chimneys in the country. Nearly 20 years ago Mr. McBride began operating a lamp chimney factory in that city. Since that time he has owned and operated factories from coast to coast. The output of the Salem plant is one car a week and it now is employing 20 people.
