W.T. HEDGES, FORMERLY OF SALES STAFF

OF CORNING GLASS WORKS, DIES SUDDENLY

 

William T. Hedges, formerly director of sales for the Pyrex division of the Corning Glass Works, died suddenly, Monday, August 11, at his home in Corning, N. Y. He was 56 years old. Mr. Hedges joined the Corning Glass Works in 1915 as director of Pyrex sales, serving in that capacity during the period when Pyrex baking ware was being introduced with such signal success. He retired from the Corning organization in 1925 and of recent years had devoted his entire time to stock market operations.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Julia Ellsworth Hedges; his mother, a brother and two sisters. Funeral services were conducted from the home in Corning, with internment at Mansfield, O.
