AMORY HOUGHTON NEW HEAD OF CORNING GLASS WORKS. OTHER OFFICERS
At a recent annual meeting of directors of the Corning Glass Works, Corning, N. Y., Amory Houghton was elected president of the company for the ensuing year. Mr. Houghton, who succeeds Dr. Eugene C. Sullivan, has served for some months as executive vice president of the company. Dr. Sullivan, who requested to be relieved of the duties of the presidency, was named vice chairman of the board and will continue active in the company's affairs, it is announced. The executive committee chosen includes Hon. Alanson B. Houghton, Alexander D. Falck and George B. Hollister. Officers named in addition to Messrs. Amory Houghton and Dr. Sullivan, are as follows: Mr. Falck, chairman of the board; Mr. Hollister, William H. Curtiss and Arthur L. Day, vice presidents; John L. Thomas, secretary and treasurer; Frederick F. Pfeiffer, assistance secretary; William R. Green, Jr., general counsel; directors, Hon. Alanson B. Houghton, Mr. Falck, Dr. Sullivan, Mr. Hollister, Amory Houghton, Mr. Thomas and Arthur A. Houghton, Jr. |
