PROMOTIONS IN SALES DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCED AT CORNING GLASS WORKS
Announcement of promotions and other changes in the sales department staff of the Corning Glass Works was made April 14 by James L. Peden, director of sales. It was also announced that the company's export division has been removed from the New York to the Corning offices. Fred C. Cameron, who has been in charge of the railroad and marine sales, has been elevated to assistant director of sales while A. J. Mayer takes charge of the estimating and pricing division, a newly created position. W. T. Levitt who was formerly assistant to the late G. Willis Drake, was promoted and placed in charge of the laboratory and pharmaceutical division. R. G. Sherwood takes a new position in charge of the tubing division and W. C. Decker becomes head of the industrial division. The removal of the export division to Corning has resulted in A. S. Eggleton, formerly assistant manager, being placed in charge of that branch. Other departments are in charge of the following: I. B. Cary, manager metropolitan office; A. E. Marshall, consulting engineer; Frederick Krassl, technologist; E. B. Gore, in charge of general sales office and statistical research; F. E. Pfeiffer, sales manager, bulb and electric tubing division; Justin J. Pfeiffer, promoted to assistant in this department; C. D. La Follette, sales manager, Pyrex housewares division; Dr. O. A. Gage, in charge of aviation and optical division; W. N. Manuel, in charge of railroad and traffic divisions; Dr. W. W. Shaver, in charge of insulation division, and F. R. Kloman, advertising manager. |
