THE Bloom Jar Co. has been organized for the purpose of manufacturing the new self-sealing jar which has been patented by David Bloom, of San Francisco. Factories will be started in Indiana and in Virginia, it was stated last week by Tom Schollenberger of Chicago, who will have the Western representation of the output.

The men behind the company include several who are prominent in the Western world of finance among others A. H. McPike, of San Francisco, and William Hale, also well known in promoting circles. Mr. Bloom has a large interest in the new company, as well as the rights on the patent. Stewart H. Frank is to have charge of the New York end of the distribution.

"The trade has been waiting for a jar of this kind for a long time," said Mr. Scholllenberger, when interviewed, "and as the new invention is practical beyound a doubt we look for immediate success. The patent lies in a lid grooved on the under surface, and the insertion of a bamboo strip, which seals the jar with a quater turn. I have already interested many buyers here. The jar can be used by packers of meats, fruits, candy, milk, cheese, and many other articles."
