Greetings to all the folks on the East Coast. How are all the fishermen? How does this sound for fishing: Scott Littleton and a party of three caught 284 croppies and bass at Henshaw Lake in one day.

Conditions here from the reports at our last meeting were very good, all mould makers working steady. Our members in the Hot Metal Department at the Crystalite and Technical are working very good. If this keeps up, no doubt they will be sending back east for some workmen. Of course, there are a few of us out of work here that do not fit in, as we do not get in the money. This is mostly because some of us have the habit of speaking out loud at the meetings and insisting that rules and laws are to be followed.

The Forger plant has been working again after a shut-down. So, all-in-all, things are not so bad at present.

The attendance at our last meeting could be improved on. The regulars were all there. I often wonder if it was not for the ones who always are on the job, trying to look after the interests of the organization, what would become of those who can never find time to go to the meeting.

Now for a word about Who's Who and Where. Gus Erickson just got back from a trip to South America and expects to be with us a while. Joe Kavenaugh left to take charge of the mould shop in the new factory at Midvale, Utah. C. Zimmer is sporting a new Plymouth sedan. By the way, Charlie, you ought to be able to make the meeting hall now. F. Abrahamon was at San Diego, helping get the factory started at the Exposition, but he is back at the Crystalite now. Paul Anderson has been back some time. He was located in Florida, but I guess the pull of the Golden West was too much for him. Mike Roscoe, Morgantown and other West Virginia points, has become a full fledged insulator maker, so the Punch Department loses another member. Ernie Betholz is still with us. I have not seen Dan Rock for some time. I think he has become a politician. Chas. Campbell took a trip for a week into the San Berdo Mountains, but we have no report on what he was doing there. They say there's gold in them thar hills, Charlie, and if you brought any back, how about my cut?

While there are a few single members here, I was expecting to report some June brides, but it seems there is nothing doing.

Sorry to report the death of Ed Bruner, who died May 25th of heart trouble at Santa Anna. He was buried at Santa Anna May 27th. Brother Bruner, I believe, was from the Ohio Valley. He blowed bottles in Wheeling for about 20 years, and he came to California about 14 years ago. He worked at the trade last in Santa Anna. He was a loyal union man. He leaved a widow, two daughters and son to mourn his death. May his soul rest in peace.
