MANUFACTURES.
In our last annual report, we presented a statement of some of the leading branches of manufactures in the city, which, although it showed, in some degree, the importance of this branch of our city’s industry, was necessarily imperfect; the time at our disposal not having been sufficient to enable us to prepare a full report. This labor has, however, since been thoroughly performed by others; and we are kindly permitted, by Mr. Charles Cist, editor and publisher of "Cincinnati in 1851," to copy from his book, recently published, the following full and complete statement of the "Manufacturing and industrial products of Cincinnati." The number and products of the several manufactures and workshops, in 1851, compared with 1841, shows the great, and unprecedented, increase in this department of business, and presents, in a clear light, the future destiny of our city.
As this department of business has been remarked upon already, we present, without further comment, the table alluded to above:
