[REGULAR COMMUNICATION]

FAIRMOUNT, IND., May 1. - Your J. W. Neel, of the subscription department paid this town a visit, and by the looks of his subscription list he was well paid for his stop-over.

The Dillon Glass Works has been closed down the greater part of the week on account of not having any lime. This is due to having but one railroad running through the town. An election will be held to-day to vote a subsidy to aid the Chicago, Indiana and Eastern railway to build through this town. If there were any doubters to vote an aid, their doubts would be dispelled by the men working in the several factories here. There has not a month passed this season that some one of the factories have not closed on account of the railroad not delivering goods on time. If Fairmount gets the railroad, which no doubt she will, she will be in a position to keep pace with the rest of the gas belt.

The King City Glass Works resumed operation last Monday, after being idle over two months, making electrical supplies.

The Fairmount Glass Co. is working up to its fullest capacity on Mason and standard jars.

Michael Pastorious known to the trade of "Old Mike Pastorious," has been laid up all season with asthma. This branch is getting up a raffle for his benefit. It will no doubt reap him quite a sum, for he is well known through the trade.

Wm. Tibbins came walking down the street, and by the smile on his face and his height, he must have grown about six inches. They called him pa - a big, bouncing girl made its appearance in the Tibbin family.
