Mr. J. Schallenberger, of Chicago, writes to the manufacturers bureau that the gentleman proposing to establish a glass manufactory in Denver, Col., will be in Denver shortly for the purpose of taking final action in regard to the matter. The proposition is to establish a plant costing $400,000 and one that will employ between 300 and 400 skilled workmen. The Chicago syndicate desires to place about $100,000 of the capital in Denver, they furnishing the remainder. Mr. Schallenberger, as agent for the company, visited Denver some weeks since, and was very much pleased with the outlook there. His report was favorable to the enterprise, and the prodpects are tht the glass works will become an assured fact ere many months.
