HERE AND THERE.

The building erected at the Colorado City glass works for the manufacture of flint glassware remains closed owing to the objection of the flint glass blower's union to the method of operation which the management had designed for that department of the works. The flint glass blowers and the green glass blowers are two separate organizations with differences which are irreconcilable, and the former objected to the combined manufacture of both kinds of glass at the same factory. The works at Colorado City now employ 136 men and boys and turn out 17,500 bottles and fruit jars per day, at a total expenditure for help of $460 per day, or $12,000 per month.
