Think They Will Transfer Entire Interests.
FAIRMOUNT, IND., Dec. 3 — This place is to have an addition that it might boast of in the way of glass business. It is this: The Dillon glass works, which has been idle so long, has been bought by the Marion Fruit Jar and Bottle Co., and it is said that the company will move their present plant and locate their business in this city; they have been in the suburbs long enough. This company have proved themselves live and energetic business men, and we would like to see more of the same kind come this way. Larry Donnelly failed to show up here, so the place is filled by a brother from Gas City, Barney Macafee. The Electric Supply Co. made a run of a few days, and have stopped again. The Fairmount Glass Co. have stopped for a few days, on account of putting in a blow pipe, and some of their material ran short. Orders are somewhat slow just at present, but we look for a boom after the first of the year. Turkeys are cheap and plenty here, only 4 1/2 cents on foot. — G.B.D. |
