Fatal Trepanning Operation.
FAIRMOUNT, IND., April 6. — Mr. John Heintz, a window glass worker who was employed at the Big Four here, had been ailing for quite a while, and was bothered with his head, and two Fairmount doctors finally decided to perform an operation upon him, and accordingly they borrowed a dentist's foot drill and bored a hole clean through the skull back of the left ear, and Mr. Heintz was only conscious a few times after and finally died Sunday, April 28, at 9 P.M., and there was some talk of instituting proceedings for malpractice. He was buried Tuesday, april 30, and there was a very nice parade.
The King City electrical supply factory has resumed work, having been burned about a month ago, but they are making nothing but mason jars at present.
The labormen, yardmen, and teasers demanded a raise of from $1 to $2 per week at the Big Four and received it.
