Financial Matters — The Electrical Construction

Company — Proposition Defeated, Etc.

A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors was held last evening. Present, Messrs. Menzies, Kenny, McCarthy, Goodwin, Badlam, Forbes, Shrader, Adams, Commins, Kelly; Mayor Selby in the chair.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

FIRE ALARM MATTERS.

The Committee on Fire Alarm and Police Telegraph reported adversely to the proposition of the Electrical Construction and Maintenance Company, to take charge of the fire alarm and police telegraph; also adverse to the application of S. D. Field, to be appointed Assistant Superintendent and Electrician of the fire alarm and police telegraph, and adverse to the recommendation of the present Superintendent that he be so appointed.
