Electric Motor in New York.

NEW YORK, June 12. — "Within a few weeks we shall have car propelled by our electric motor running on the Second-avenue Elevated Road, from Chatham square to Harlem," said Mr. Johnston, Vice-President of the Electric Railway Company yesterday. "The 800 tons of steel rails for the third track have arrived, and they are being hoisted up to the structure. A firm in Pittsburg is making glass insulators. Durant's old sugar refinery on Twenty-fourth street, is being fitted up for a generating station."
