THE SUBURBS.

CAMBRIDGE.

The Bay State Glass Works' building on Bridge street is still occupied by Captain Meiggs, who is busily engaged in constructing a temporary elevated road in the yard. His plan of putting a bridge across Bridge street has been brought to a standstill for the present, owing to the reference of his petition to a committee which cannot report until September because of the adjournment of the city government until that time. The experiment will be given a public trial in the yard of the glass works when the track is finished.
