A SANDWICH MAN IN TROUBLE.

S. H. Fessenden Arrested in New York

Charged with Embezzlement.

Inspector Burke arrested in New York this morning S. H. Fessenden of Sandwich, treasurer of the Cape Cod Canal Co., for the alleged embezzlement on Feb. 17 of $2000 worth of stock of the Electrical Glass Corporation, the property of Emily H. Jenkins of Boston. A New York despatch [sic] dispatch says that Fessenden was held for the arrival of extradition papers.

The stock in question Mr. Jenkins says he gave to Fessenden, on which the latter should secure for him a loan. He later received back 500 shares. But since then he has not only not seen Fessenden, but was called on by the banks to settle notes for money advanced on the stock. Mr. Jenkins then took action against Fessenden.
