Glass Works for Westport.

A syndicate of business men from Buffalo, N. Y., has bought a lot of ground from the South Baltimore Company, of which Mr. William H. Whitridge is president, as the site of a new glass works.

The property is in Westport, Baltimore county, and fronts on Kloman street, between Clare and Popplein streets, and runs back to the waters of the Middle Branch of the Patapsco river. It is directly to the left of Harman's bridge.

Work on the proposed buildings will soon begin, and the plant is expected to be completed before summer. The company will manufacture air-tight glass pre-serving jars and special glass articles used in electrical work and other specialties. The name of the new establishment will be the Baltimore Glass Works.
