Several Important Changes Have Been

Made at Tacony—Steady Run at

Quaker City Plants is Noted.

Philadelphia, Pa., Nov. 21—More changes have taken place since my last report. Manager Jenkins, of the blowing department at Tacony, has resigned to accept a position with the D. C. Jenkins Glass Co., Kokomo, Ind. He had been at the head of this department for eleven years and was well thought of by all the employes, who showed their appreciation of his services by presenting him with a handsome cluster stickpin containing a pearl and seven diamonds.

Those who contributed, aside from the blowing department, included Messrs. Beattie, Lonie, Putman and Schnitzer, managers of other departments of the plant. The pin was selected by Mr. Beattie and John Lafferty and the presentation speech was made by Mr. Beattie.

Mr. Beattie, who was formerly manager of the assorting department, has been made superintendent of the Tacony factory, since Edgar Gillinder became president of the firm. Mr. Jenkins' successor is Chas. Nutter, formerly a presser at Tacony. All the workers here are pleased with the firm's selection and think he will make a good factory manager. "We all wish him success in his new position. Mr. Nutter is well known throughout the trade, having attended several Flint conventions, the last at Evansville, Ind., his home town.

"Everybody's doing it." The shops at Gill & Co. and Gillinder's Philadelphia plants are making full time and everything looks bright for a prosperous run. — Franklin.
